Prof. Dr. Hartwig Bohne has now assumed the position of Academic Director at the Feline Holidays Global Engagement Scholarship, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience from his previous role at the Vacasol Global Engagement Scholarship into this new position.
As a Professor of International Hotel Management at the Dresden School of Management, part of the SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Bohne boasts an impressive career in the hotel industry. After training as a hotel specialist at the Kempinski Hotel Taschenbergpalais Dresden and his initial role at the Kempinski Hotel President Wilson in Geneva, he completed a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Tourism and International Corporate Management.
His professional journey took him from a position at the Hotel Association of Germany in Berlin to leading his own department for talent promotion and university marketing at Kempinski Hotels in Munich. Prof. Bohne has also served as a lecturer at several European universities and was a personal assistant to a member of the German Bundestag.
His doctoral thesis, which deals with the collaboration between hotel chains and universities in the personnel area, culminated in his appointment as a Professor at the SRH Dresden School of Management. Here, he is responsible not only for the international Hospitality degree programs but also for the industry network and international university contacts. He also shares his expertise as an external examiner at the Technological University Dublin.
Prof. Bohne, who has also been active as a guest lecturer and project leader, has already made a name for himself as the Academic Director of the VACASOL Global Engagement Scholarship program and will now bring his competence and experience to the Feline Holidays Global Engagement Scholarship.
